We are pleased about your interest in our online shop. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below we provide detailed information about how your data is handled.

1. Access Data and Hosting

You can visit our websites without providing personal information. Every time a website is accessed, the web server automatically saves what is known as a server log file, which contains, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the amount of data transmitted, and the requesting provider (access data), documenting the access. This access data is evaluated solely for the purpose of ensuring trouble-free operation of the site and improving our offering. This serves to safeguard our predominantly legitimate interests in a correct presentation of our offering, pursuant to Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

2. Data Processing for Contract Execution and Contacting

2.1 Data Processing for Contract Execution

For the purpose of contract processing (including inquiries and handling of any existing warranty and performance issues as well as any legal update obligations) under Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO, we collect personal data when you voluntarily provide it to us as part of your order. Mandatory fields are marked as such because we require the data in these cases to process the contract, and without it, we cannot complete your order. The specific data collected can be seen from the respective input forms.

Further information on data processing, especially concerning the disclosure of data to our service providers for order, payment, and shipping processing, can be found in the sections below. After complete fulfillment of the contract, your data will be restricted for further processing and deleted after the retention periods specified by tax and commercial law have expired, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data under Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO or we reserve the right to use your data in ways permitted by law, about which we inform you in this notice.

2.2 Customer Account

If you have given your consent pursuant to Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO, by choosing to open a customer account, we will use your data for the purpose of opening the customer account and storing your data for future purchases on our website. Deleting your customer account is possible at any time and can be done by sending a message to the contact details described in this privacy policy or using a function provided in the customer account. After deletion of your customer account, your data will be deleted, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data under Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. a DSGVO or we reserve the right to use your data in ways permitted by law, about which we inform you in this notice.

3. Data Processing for Shipping Purposes

To fulfill the contract under Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO, we pass on your data to the shipping service provider entrusted with the delivery, to the extent that this is necessary for the delivery of ordered goods.

4. Data Processing for Payment Processing

In processing payments in our online shop, we work with these partners: technical service providers, credit institutions, payment service providers.

4.1 Data Processing for Transaction Processing

Depending on the chosen payment method, we pass on the data required for payment transaction processing to our technical service providers, who act on our behalf as part of a commissioned data processing agreement, or to the commissioned credit institutions or to the selected payment service provider, to the extent this is necessary for the payment transaction. This serves the fulfillment of the contract under Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. b DSGVO. In some cases, the payment service providers collect the data required for processing the payment themselves, e.g., on their own website or through technical integration into the ordering process. In such cases, the respective data protection policy of the payment service provider applies.

If you have any questions about our payment processing partners and the basis of our cooperation with them, please contact the communication method described in this privacy policy.

4.2 Data Processing for Fraud Prevention and Optimization of Payment Processes

We may provide additional data to our service providers, which they use together with the data necessary for processing the payment as our commissioned data processors for the purpose of fraud prevention and optimizing our payment processes (e.g., billing, handling disputed payments, support for accounting). This serves to safeguard our predominantly legitimate interests in protecting ourselves from fraud or in efficient payment management, pursuant to Art. 6 Abs. 1 S. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

Our service providers are located and/or use servers in countries outside the EU and EEA. For these countries, there is no adequacy decision by the European Commission. Our cooperation with them is based on standard contractual clauses issued by the European Commission.

Google Analytics

For the purpose of website analysis, data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website) is automatically collected and stored using Google Analytics, from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms. Cookies may be used for this purpose. When you visit our website from the EU, your IP address is stored on a server located in the EU to derive location data and is immediately deleted thereafter before the traffic is forwarded to further Google servers for processing. Data processing is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement with Google.

For the purpose of optimized marketing of our website, we have enabled the data sharing settings for "Google Products and Services". This allows Google to access and use the data collected and processed by Google Analytics to improve Google services. Data sharing with Google as part of these data sharing settings is based on an additional agreement between controllers. We have no influence over Google's subsequent data processing.

We also use Google Analytics' extension function, Google Optimize, to create and run tests.

For the purpose of optimized marketing of our website, we use the so-called User-ID function. With this feature, we can assign your interaction data to one or more sessions across our online presences with a unique, permanent ID, and thus analyze your usage behavior across devices and sessions.

For web analysis and advertising purposes, the so-called DoubleClick cookie is used within the Google Analytics extension function, which allows for the recognition of your browser during visits to other websites. Google will use this information to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website usage.

Google AdSense

Our website markets space for third-party advertisements via Google AdSense. These ads are displayed to you in various locations on this website. Through the use of the so-called DoubleClick cookie, interest-based advertising is made possible by collecting and processing data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website), as well as the automatic assignment of a pseudonymous UserID, which is used to determine interests based on visits to this and other websites.

Google Ads

For advertising purposes in Google search results as well as on third-party websites, the so-called Google Remarketing cookie is set when you visit our website, which enables interest-based advertising by collecting and processing data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, and information about your use of our website) through a pseudonymous CookieID and based on the pages you visit. Further data processing only takes place if you have activated the "personalized advertising" setting in your Google account. If you are logged in to Google during your visit to our website, Google will use your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target group lists for cross-device remarketing.

For website analysis and event tracking, we measure your subsequent usage behavior via Google Ads Conversion Tracking when you have reached our website through a Google Ads advertisement. Cookies may be used for this purpose, and data (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information, as well as information about your use of our website based on predefined events such as visiting a specific page or signing up for a newsletter) may be collected, from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms.

6.2 Use of Facebook Services

Data processing is carried out based on a data processing agreement with Facebook (by Meta). The analysis serves the purpose of optimal presentation and marketing of our website.

Facebook Ads (Ad Manager)

We advertise this website on Facebook (by Meta) and other platforms via Facebook Ads. We determine the parameters of the respective advertising campaign. Facebook (by Meta) is responsible for the precise implementation, particularly the decision about the placement of the ads with individual users. Unless otherwise stated in the individual technologies, data processing is carried out based on a joint controller agreement pursuant to Art. 26 DSGVO.
